Hello
“People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.” - Winnie the Pooh
Amanda Grosnick, RDN, CEDS
I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with three years of experience and a passion for helping individuals build a more positive relationship with food and their bodies. I believe nutrition care should be compassionate, individualized, and grounded in research, while also recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to health.
My approach is rooted in the principles of Health at Every Size® (HAES), with an emphasis on finding flexibility and freedom with food rather than following rigid rules. I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-informed approach to help clients better understand the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may influence their relationship with food and body image.
When working together, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and comfortable being honest about your experiences. Sessions may include exploring your food preferences, current eating patterns, challenges or barriers to change, and other areas of your lifestyle and health. Together, we’ll identify realistic and meaningful goals that fit your individual needs and work collaboratively toward lasting progress.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and completed a 1,200-hour dietetic internship at Central Michigan University. My training included hands-on experience in clinical, community, and food service management settings. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals across a variety of levels of care, from inpatient treatment to intensive outpatient services. Recently, I completed training requirements to become a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), further strengthening my knowledge and skills in providing specialized, evidenced-based nutrition care for individuals with eating disorders and disordered eating.
I’m passionate about meeting each person where they are and helping them develop the skills, confidence, and trust needed to feel more at ease with food and their body. My goal is to make nutrition support feel collaborative, compassionate, and empowering throughout every step of the recovery process.
